CROSS enables to calculate Winkler coefficient C1 (compression) using the results of geological surveys. The software implements a procedure developed by NIIOSP experts (a description of the procedure is published in the article "Predicting of settlements of shallow foundations and selection of a subsoil model for the slab analysis").
CROSS determines settlements (and thus the Winkler coefficient) allowing for the distributive ability of subsoil. This feature enables to use results obtained by the program to determine the stress-strain state of structures (for example using SCAD) without specifying Pasternak coefficient C2 (shear).
CROSS selects the values of the Winkler coefficients C1 which result in the same settlements as in the case of using the linearly-deformable half-space model, i.e. a correspondence with the models recommended by SNiP is provided.
